A SOCIAL ENTERPRENEURSHIP LAW ADOPTED IN MARCH 2011 IN SLOVENIA by Jana Ponikvar
This law stipulates definition, aims and principles of social entrepreneurship and other points like activities of social entrepreneurship and conditions for employment, carrying out activities, attainment status of social firm/enterprise; way of attainment and dispossession of status; special conditions for operation of social firms; registers and inspectorate.
The law also regulates planning of development and stimulation for development of social entrepreneurship, cooperation between social partners and civil society organizations on the filed of adoption of developmental documents; role of local authority in planning and implementation of developmental politics in social entrepreneurship and jurisdictions on the field of social entrepreneurship.
For implementation of the law the government must prepare regulatory acts and plan, strategy till 2015, establish special unit for social entrepreneurship on ministry and Council for social entrepreneurship.
